| Kim Cox, M.A
Kim joined the Santa Ana College staff in Fall of 2017. Though she is new to SAC, she has been teaching for 23 years in Garden Grove Unified School District and has experience with 2nd-6th grade in the district. In order to spend more time with her own daughters, Kim began job-sharing when her oldest (now 16) was three months old. She is also experienced with the Infant and Pre-K CLASS observation tools, sharpening her own teaching skills as she spends time evaluating other teachers. Kim knew she would be a teacher in 2nd grade and never lost sight of this goal. She has really enjoyed working with all different age groups. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State Fullerton in Child Development with a minor in Health Science. She obtained her Masters degree in Education Administration from Cal State, Long Beach. When not in a classroom, you can find Kim supporting her two teenage daughters’ activities: softball, painting, piano, and singing. She also loves to spend time with her husband of 22 years walking on the beach each evening, working out, or curled up with a great book. She also loves spending time with her very large extended family. Kim loves helping students believe in themselves, never giving up, and persisting with true grit.
