Serve on a Committee!
Seek formal and informal feedback from faculty as decisions affecting them are being made.
Communicate clearly about changes in procedures and include rationale for those changes.
Continue this clear and reasoned communication to students, staff and faculty for each significant change.
Develop, in consultation with faculty, a process for how decisions about the format of Fall classes will be made (how will decisions be made about which courses meet on campus and the measures to be used (social distancing, size limitations, cleaning, PPE, split-classes etc).
Develop plans in consultation with faculty for a transition back to campus aligned to the Governor's Four Stage Plan (or subsequent plan) that addresses which classes would end remote instruction at each stage and what format would be used at that time.
Communicate the above plan to students before each semester starts, so they aren't surprised by an unexpected class format.
