Child Development and Education Studies
Welcome to the Department of Child Development and Education Studies! This website provides you with the resources you need to assist you in being academically and professionally successful as an educator and advocate of children.
Take a look at the links to the left and begin your journey in what will become an incredible career working with families and your community. This is an exciting field and those who love children lean toward this major, but keep in mind that the most important development in a human beings life occurs in the first five years. That means that children require a knowledgeable, well-skilled, resourceful, flexible, and friendly advocate and teacher. In other words, it is extremely hard work to be an educator and requires intense focus and study on your part.
If that person is you, we welcome you to an incredible program of active learners, and look forward to you joining our program! We will help you become one of the best teachers in your field.
If you have any questions that are not answered on this site, please feel free to fill out the contact form on our website, contact one of our full-time faculty members, or attend our student orientation.
