Ready to Graduate?
Congratulations, you did it! Below is detailed information about your next steps.
Earning an Associate's Degree
Schedule an appointment with a counselor to file a Graduation Petition form. See Graduation Office for deadlines pertaining to your specific degree type.
If you are completing all the requirements for your degree at the end of the Fall semester, the petition deadline is typically in September. If you are completing all the requirements for your degree at the end of the Spring semester, the petition deadline is typically in February.
Earning a Certificate
Once you have completed all of the required courses for a Certificate of Proficiency or Certificate of Completion, the Graduation Office will automatically award your certificate. This applies to all students who have completed ALL of the requirements for the certificate at Santa Ana College.
For those who are attempting to use courses from other colleges (or courses completed as part of an articulated pathway in high school) to meet Certificate requirements, please schedule an appointment with a counselor to complete a Certificate of Completion Petition and/or any necessary petitions to substitute courses. See Graduation Office for deadlines.
