| Anushi Seneviratne, Ed.D.
Anushi Seneviratne has 26 years
of experience working as a teacher (Infants, Preschool, Elementary, High
School and College), Preschool director, and as the owner of two
125-student capacity childcare centers for 11 years in Orange County.
She also has 8 years of experience teaching at community colleges and
universities. Dr. Seneviratne
began her college studies as a business major, and after an unplanned
class in Sociology at CSUF, changed her trajectory towards Human
Services and Human Development. Anushi holds a doctoral degree in
Educational Leadership and holds a diploma in Montessori teaching, CA
Director Permit, Adult Education and CTE credentials, and also a
certified PITC (Program for Infant Toddler Care) teacher trainer. Her
ongoing quest for learning also took her to Reggio Emilia, Italy to
study the Reggio Emilia concept of teaching. During
her spare time, Anushi enjoys playing with her dogs, reading, traveling
and spending time with her two children. Her desire to learn about
other cultures and the world around us has taken her to 32 countries,
and she plans on spending her free time traveling to the remaining 25
countries on her list! Dr.
Seneviratne feels genuinely blessed to be part of the Child Development
department at Santa Ana College. She enjoys interacting with the
students, sharing information and stories, and learning from one
another. She is looking forward to having you in one of her classes, where discussion, fun, and learning are abundant!
