Earn $50 per Credit!
Eligibility:
Students must have a home location of Santa Ana College. Students with a home location of Santiago Canyon College are not eligible for the SAC Cash for Credit and should contact the Santiago Canyon College Financial Aid Office for financial assistance information.
Students must be actively enrolled in the Spring term at Santa Ana College with a minimum of six credits (all taken at Santa Ana College) to receive $50 per credit. The more credits you take, the more cash you receive.
Student must have completed a FAFSA or Dream Act for the 2024/25 year by May 9, 2025 (Foreign/international students can still receive Cash for Credit without completing the FAFSA/Dream Act).
If the student is not awarded a Pell Grant or Cal Grant through the FAFSA or Dream Act, the student will be awarded a SAC Cash for Credit grant of $50 per unit up to a maximum of $600.
If a student receives a Pell or CalGrant, he/she is already receiving money for their credits from the government. The SAC Cash for Credit award is to assist those not eligible for government aid.
Students receiving Cash for Credit are not eligible to receive CARE money from Continuing Education. Students who are eligible for both will receive the higher of the two awards.
Distribution date is May 23 through BankMobile.

Important Notes
Students with a potential fraud hold will not receive funds unless the hold is cleared by presenting a photo ID in person to the Financial Aid office JSC-201.
Dual-Enrollment and Middle College High School students are not eligible for the Cash for Credit program.
In the event a student is awarded a Pell or CalGrant after Cash for Credit has been disbursed, the Cash for Credit award will be removed and the amount will be subtracted from the Pell or CalGrant award.
Student fees for the term that are still owed will be paid before disbursing to students. For example: If a student is awarded $300 but owes $38.75 in student fees, the student will receive $261.25 through BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution powered by BMTX, Inc.
