Get advisement on topics such as: general transfer information, major recommendations for the teacher pathway at CSUF (including the multiple majors aligned with elementary teaching), major preparation courses and course equivalencies, and more!

Friday November 3, 2023 9 AM - 10 AM	Club Apple Meeting Presented by: Club Apple Executive Board Club Apple aims to unite future teachers and support them in pursuing their educational paths by providing skills through events and activities, networking, and volunteer work. Club Apple also serves as SAC's official chapter for the Student California Teachers Association (SCTA), a statewide organization that provides professional development, networking, and community outreach opportunities to college students who are interested in careers as educators, particularly those pursuing pathways to teaching. SCTA serves as the collective voice for these students and as advocates for fairness, justice, and equity.	or in-person at S-107 (SAC Promise Center)
Friday November 3, 2023 10 AM - 2 PM	Special Libraries Association (SLA) Southern California Professional Development Day Presented by: Special Libraries Association (SLA) Southern California Come together with recent graduates, career experts, and fellow colleagues to share insights into how to take your career to the next level. This virtual event will feature speakers with varied work and skill levels sharing their personal stories of success and lessons-learned. Monday November 6, 2023 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM	Digital Archiving to Preserve Local Art and Raise Underrepresented Voices Presented by: Maricela Correa, SAC Library Technology Student and Sarah Rafael Garcia, Proprieter of Crear Studio and Libromobile, Santa Ana Library Technology skills aren't just for traditional library work! Come learn in this webinar how one Library Technology student intern developed their digital archiving skills to help create an interactive online gallery experience showcasing the work of respected local photographer Jesus Cortez and the ¿YA MERO COMPA? exhibit hosted by Santa Ana's Crear Studio. Attendees will also learn more about SAC's Library Technology AA degree and certificate options! This session will be recorded. Thursday November 9, 2023 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM	SAC Early Childhood Education Center Open House & Back to School Night Presented by: SAC Early Childhood Education Center & Child Development and Education Studies Faculty Meet in front of the Early Childhood Education Center for a mini tour of our state-of-the-art facility, led by one of our Child Development and Education Studies faculty members. The Early Childhood Education Center services young children from infants to 5-years-old. Thursday November 16, 2023 12 PM - 2 PM	UCI CalTeach Science & Math Program Representative Appointments Presented by: Jocelyn Arroyo, UCI CalTeach Science & Math Program UCI CalTeach is designed to support students interested in teaching science or math. Learn how you can earn your B.S. in Chemistry, Mathematics, Earth System Sciences, Biological Science, or Physics along with your teaching credential in just two years after transferring! Our representative can also share information on UCI cross-enrollment (taking courses at UCI while enrolled at SAC), the teacher preparation pathway at UCI, and more! Thursday November 16, 2023 5 PM - 6 PM	Early Childhood Education Permit Party Presented by: Anushi Seneviratne, SAC Child Development & Education Studies Learn more about the requirements to earn a Child Development Permit for work in licensed day care or preschool settings. Topics covered will include: permit levels (including Associate Teacher, Teacher, Site Supervisor, etc.), specific education and experience requirements to apply, and the process for applying for permits and funding opportunities through the Child Development Training Consortium.

Saturday November 18, 2023 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM	27th Annual Road to Teaching Conference featuring 2023 National Bilingual Teacher of the Year, Sonia Aguila Presented by: SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union We are excited to announce that the Road to Teaching Conference is now in its 27th year and will be held in-person at Santa Ana College! Each year, the conference hosts a keynote address from an inspiring educational leader, over a dozen informative workshops, and an extensive educational resource fair! The conference is open to all those who are interested in teaching, including high school students, community college students, university students, and community members.
