All required textbooks and most other course materials are available through the
Santa Ana College Don Bookstore.
Students can contact an online counselor at the
Online Counseling site and schedule appointments.
Online
and hybrid courses are just like any other course offered at Santa Ana
College. Students follow the same eligibility as determined by the
Financial Aid Office.
Students must also abide by regular attendance and participation
guidelines of the college and course instructor in online/hybrid
courses.
Forms are available on-line. Completed forms can be dropped off in-person or mailed directly to the

Financial Aid status verification and award acceptance is done through
Web Advisor. Checks are mailed to all students. For individual assistance, Distance Education students should Email the

The
U.S. Department of Education requires an institution offering distance
education programs or on-ground field experience components to acquire
authorization from the states in which it operates. Specific regulations
vary from state to state.
Directed Learning Activity (DLA)
If an instructor assigns a DLA(s) in the course, students will need to complete the DLA in the
Learning Center and complete the following steps:
* Email the
Learning Center at
LearningCenter@sac.edu with DLA number
* The
Learning Center will send an Email with the DLA attached
* Email the completed DLA back to the
Learning Center at
LearningCenter@sac.edu
* A
Learning Center Instructor will review the submitted DLA, and will provide feedback via Email
* The completed DLA work will be kept in a file at the
Learning Center for the course Instructor
Tutoring is available for the same subjects for both classroom (traditional) and online/hybrid courses.

Tutoring for Online Students:
Tutoring Requests: Contact the
Learning Center by phone at (714) 564-6569 or by Email at
LearningCenter@sac.edu. Provide the subject and course for the tutoring request. A
Learning Center Tutor will arrange a call back time for phone tutoring.
Writing Tutoring: Complete the
Learning Center Conferencing Intake and Evaluation Form. Email the completed form to the
Learning Center at
LearningCenter@sac.edu.

NetTutor
NetTutor is a free to students, online, on demand
tutoring service that is available in all online math courses, and other
selected online courses. Instructions on how to access and use NetTutor
are provided in the courses using this resource.
Wireless Network Access
Santa Ana
College offers free wireless access to the Internet to currently
enrolled students. The wireless network is compatible with all mobile
devices and laptops with Wi-Fi capabilities.
To connect to the wireless network:
1. Ensure that location is included within the wireless coverage area.
2. Detect the available wireless networks, and select
SAC-Student.
3. When prompted, enter your Web Advisor User ID and password.
4. If a certificate error is received,
click "Accept" or "Continue" to connect to the wireless network.

Many of our Distance Learning courses can assist you in attaining a degree.
The
following Plan A, B, C, Advisement Sheets have highlighted distance
education course offerings, yellow for online; green for hybrid.
Articulation agreements
for most universities are the same for distance learning courses as for
traditional courses. Specific transfer questions should be directed to
the
Transfer Center.
