It is with deep sadness to share the passing our colleague, Dr. Jodi Coffman.
Jodi began her tenure as Head Women's Soccer Coach at Santa Ana College in 2000. At this time, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Exercise Science, Health, and Athletics Department. She received many accolades, one in which she was named Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year. In 2014, Jodi deepened her dedication and commitment to student success while serving as a Counselor. She was a valued faculty member of the Counseling Division, participating on numerous college committees, leading initiatives, and projects, serving as a Field Supervisor for CSU Long Beach Counseling Graduate Students, and contributing to the professional development of faculty as an early adopter of new systems and software, serving on panel discussions and mentoring adjunct faculty. It is not surprising that Jodi was nominated for the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2006 and 2009. Yet, her most notable role was being a champion for students!
It is with heartfelt appreciation that we acknowledge Dr. Jodi Coffman's 24 years of dedicated service to the Santa Ana College community!
