What is Business Management?
A business manager is responsible for the administrative duties of a business. Managers will study trends and predict where the market will be going forward. Using this information they will create a plan for their organization, then they will oversee that plan's execution. Should the plan prove unsuccessful or should an unforeseen change in the market occur, they must be able to quickly adjust future plans accordingly.
A manager will work with every other department of business, including accounting, marketing, finance, and Human Resources. They must understand the needs and goals of these individual departments, goals which may be at odds with one another, and serve as a fair and unbiased moderator when problems between departments occur. Managers should be able to communicate, lead and inspire other managers and employees.
