Fall (Online/evenings/weekend) Class Enrollment Format - Lecture classes are online and lab classes meet on-campus, twice a week, from 6-9 p.m. during the 1st-3rd semester. Students are also required to complete 32 hours of Level I fieldwork per semester. In addition to this, during the third semester students will also have to attend 12 mandatory Saturday classes from 9-12 p.m. During the fourth (final) semester students are required to complete two eight week full-time (40 hours a week) Level II fieldwork rotations. No courses are offered during the winter or summer semesters.
Students taking online courses will need to have a computer with access to the internet and a working email address. Students will need to have basic skills in internet access and word processing. Once enrolled in the class, there are two student tutorials on the Blackboard site to guide the student in use of the system.
Spring (On-campus/Daytime) Class Enrollment Format - All classes meet on-campus, twice a week, from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. during the 1st-3rd semester. In addition to this, students are also required to complete 32 hours of Level I fieldwork per semester. During the fourth (final) semester students are required to complete two eight week full-time (40 hours a week) Level II fieldwork rotations. Please note: The semester you begin the OTA program will determine your permanent schedule for the length
of your enrollment . For example, if you enter the program during the
Spring 2015 semester you will continue to attend courses on campus EACH semester during the daytime.
Program Duration - Our program takes two years to complete, with classes only being offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students are not able to partially enroll in our program; which means that all courses need to be taken during the appropriate sequencing pattern. Also, students are not able to enroll in any OTA courses unless they have been admitted into the program.
Cost of the OTA Program - $46.00 per unit. Therefore, the estimated cost for the major coursework is about $2,100 (for residents of California). It is important to note that this estimate does not include any general education requirements, textbooks, or miscellaneous student fees.
