Program Has Provided Support for
13,000 People During Pandemic
(Santa Ana, Calif.) – The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the need for food assistance in Santa Ana and surrounding Orange County communities. To help ensure families and children are not going hungry, two local nonprofits –
Power of One Foundation and
Official No One Left Behind – have partnered with the
Orange County Food Bank,
Community Action Partnership of Orange County and the
City of Santa Ana to host a drive-through emergency food assistance distribution program, Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Santa Ana College.
What:
Distributing a variety of perishable items, such as fresh produce, milk and meat, and non-perishable items such as rice, beans and canned goods.
When:
Saturday, April 11
8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Distribution will be first come, first serve. Lining up will not be permitted until 8 a.m.
Who:
All people in need of food assistance in Orange County are welcome.
Due to the anticipated number of attendees – the program has already provided support for 13,000 people during the pandemic – only one household and occupant per car and NO CHILDREN allowed for health and safety reasons. Windows must be up, trunks must be empty, and drivers need to present a valid ID (on dashboard). The program is drive through only, no walkups.

This Emergency Food Assistance Distribution Program is made possible by: Power of One Foundation, Official No One Left Behind, the OC Food Bank, Community Action Partnership of Orange County, Magnolia Science Academy-Santa Ana, Santa Ana College, Smart & Final Charitable Foundation, Bank of America Matching Program, Inland Empire Lift and other companies, as well as the City of Santa and the Santa Ana Police Department, and is supported by Congressman Lou Correa of California’s 46th District and Santa Ana City Councilmember Vincent Sarmiento.
About Santa Ana College
Santa Ana College (SAC), which turned 100 years old in 2015, serves about 27,000 students each semester at its main campus in Santa Ana. The college prepares students for transfer to four-year institutions and provides invaluable workforce training and customized training for business and industry.
