(Santa Ana, Calif.) - While already one of the most progressive online degree paths available, Santa Ana College's (SAC) online program is about to get even better.
The college is now a Certified Peer Online Course Review campus, which means the California Virtual Campus - Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) entrusts the college to review its own online courses for quality. SAC is one of the first colleges to receive this important designation.
Quality review covers all aspects of an online course: format, organization, content delivery, assignments, Student Learning Outcomes alignment, student and faculty interaction, course tool usage, and accessibility. As a result, students receive a high quality education that can improve their success. CVC-OEI pilot sections that have been through Peer Online Course Review are performing at 4.9 percentage points above the state average for online success.
Three SAC online courses are now "Quality Reviewed," with more on the way. These courses are tagged as Quality Reviewed on the California Virtual Campus (CVC.edu) website and will appear higher in search results, reaching more students.
In addition to high quality online courses, SAC also offers online degree pathway programs in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, and Psychology. These programs are for students who are working, need flexible class and study schedules, learn best without having to attend class, and want a structured approach that helps them graduate in two years.
