(SANTA ANA, Calif.) – The Santa Ana College Foundation, which raises funding to maintain, expand and enhance the educational opportunities of Santa Ana College (SAC), today announced it has received a $50,000 contribution from U.S. Bank. The grant will be used to support internship stipends for SAC students.
“This funding allows for the SAC Foundation to partner with students and our Career Center so that strategic career exposure, direct onsite career experience and relationship-building can be coupled with our student's degree attainment goals at SAC," said Christina Wagner, Director of the SAC Career Center. “It is an innovative and collaborative effort and we are excited to work with U.S. Bank on this initiative. These paid internships allow students to gain valuable career experiences that will position them to be competitive in the workplaces they choose."
SAC President Dr. Annebelle Nery thanked U.S. Bank for supporting the career aspirations of local students.
“This is the third contribution the Santa Ana College Career Center has received from U.S. Bank and we are proud to collaborate with them in our shared goal of building a vibrant workforce and economy in Orange County," Nery said.
