Ralphs Grocery Company, in partnership with Santa Ana College, to bring public COVID-19 vaccination clinics to Orange County.
Free Lyft rides to vaccination appointments at select Ralphs stores and vaccination clinics now available.
Ralphs Pharmacy has partnered with Santa Ana College to host clinics to administer vaccinations to college students and all Orange County residents over the age of 12 years old. The clinics will be starting July 17 and run through August 14. This partnership is a result of a challenge announced by the White House and the US Department of Education inviting colleges to work with local federal pharmacy partners to help end the pandemic. The free vaccination clinics that will be held at Santa Ana College are open to the public by appointment for anyone eligible for the vaccination. Appointments can be scheduled on the Ralphs website at https://www.ralphs.com/rx/covid-vaccine. Walk-in vaccinations are also available. Both two-dose Pfizer and the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available. Patients who are 12-15 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present with them.
Also, Kroger Health and Ralphs have partnered with Lyft, the ride-sharing corporation, to reduce the barrier of transportation to those in underserved communities. Starting this week, free rides will be available via Lyft (up to $12 per ride) for patients who schedule a COVID-19 vaccine at select Ralphs Pharmacy locations. When an individual uses the online scheduler to schedule their vaccine appointment, participating locations will be identified with the Lyft logo as well as verbiage indicating that the individual will receive a Lyft promo code when scheduling at that location. Once the appointment is scheduled, the Lyft promo code will be provided on the appointment confirmation page. Patients can then enter this code in the Lyft app and schedule their ride to their appointment. The Lyft codes are available for roundtrip rides for both one- and two-dose vaccines.
Additionally, any California resident that gets the COVID-19 vaccine is automatically eligible to win a $50 Ralphs gift card and other great prizes as part of California's Vax for the Win campaign.
