Welcome to SAC's Internship Program!
Internships are experiential learning opportunities that integrate real-life work experience with in the classroom learning by providing a setting for knowledge, skill, and career development. The Career Center is here to help you find and be prepared to apply for and start an internship.
Internship Program Guidelines
The Internship Program does not guarantee an internship.
- Students seeking an internship need to be proactive and are responsible for their own search for internships.
- To receive academic credit, student must enroll in a Work Experience Education course appropriate to the student's program of study, internship position, and number of credits to hours of work.
- Visit the Career Center to meet with the Job Developer/Experiential Learning Coordinator for help finding internship opportunities.
- Visit the Career Center to meet with the Career Technician for resume assistance and interview preparation.
Requirements for Students include the following:
- Must be a current Santa Ana College student working towards a degree or certificate program OR completed a degree or certificate within the last semester;
- Completed at least 12 units and 3 core classes in your degree pathway;
- Completed a high school diploma or GED program and at least 18 years old; and
- 2.0 GPA or higher
Student Intern Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate commitment to assigned internship role.
- Abide by the employer's policies, procedures, and confidentiality agreements.
- Maintain professionalism with company employees and customers/patients.
- Ensure punctuality in attendance and submission of task/work assignments. Abide by Santa College Student Code of Conduct.
