​​World Dance and Cultures

World Dance and Cultures is another POPULAR dance course that fulfills the following general education requirements: Plan A: D2​, Plan B: C1​ and Plan C: Area 3 Group A​

Dance 105 is a 3-unit, general education course that looks at dance around the world and how it reflects a culture’s religion, society, royal courts, cultural identity and classic theatrical traditions. Dance forms from Africa, Asia, Europe, Mexico and Latin America, Middle East, Native-America and North America are studied. The class also observes how these dance forms are practiced in Southern California.
