Majors Biology

Biology 212 - Animal Diversity and Ecology - This is the second class in the biology for majors series. This intensive 5-unit class includes 3 hours of lecture and 6 hours of lab per week. To enroll, you must have completed Biology 211 with a C or better.
Non-Majors Biology
- Biology 109 (online) - Fundamentals of Biology - This is a 3-unit lecture class that broadly surveys general biology. The lab is taught as a separate 1-unit class (Biology 109L). In conjunction with the lab, this class meets the UC/CSU transfer requirements for most programs.
- Biology 111 - Marine Biology - This is a 4-unit (lecture and lab) class that covers all aspects of general marine sciences. This class meets the UC/CSU transfer requirements for most programs.
- Biology 259 - Environmental Biology - This is a 4-unit (lecture and lab) class that covers all aspects of general environmental biology. This class meets the UC/CSU transfer requirements for most programs.
Non-Majors Field Classes - The following are 1-unit classes where students spend a weekend in the field with faculty camping in remote locations with minimal amenities.
