About Us
The Center for Teacher Education (CFTE) is a resource center for students interested in pursuing a career in teaching. Our center offers information, academic advisement, and support for future teachers with an emphasis on preparing students for employment in local public elementary and secondary schools. We are also proud to serve students in the Future Educators Career & Academic Pathway and the Child Development and Education Studies Department.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist Santa Ana College students in achieving their fullest potential by preparing them to transfer to the university of their choice and to become excellent teachers and leaders in the field of education.
Program Requirements
- Have an interest in teaching or working in the education field
- Register for the
CFTE Email Database to receive email updates
- Attend a
CFTE Information Session to learn about pathways to teaching
- Meet with a CFTE Counselor once per semester (recommended)
