The Santa Ana College Chamber Orchestra presents a very special concert in collaboration with the Santa Ana High School Orchestra, the Santa Ana College Foundation, and musicians from our local community. On the program is The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, a humorous musical suite in fourteen movements. Come and hear his masterpiece of fantastic musical depictions of lions, elephants, tortoises, kangaroos, a swan, and the like. Our own Dr. Annebelle Nery, President of Santa Ana College, will provide narration with whimsical poetry by Ogden Nash. We’ll have four pianists performing along with the orchestra in this musical flight of fancy. Also on the program is Chopin’s Piano Concerto #1, Mvt. 1 performed by faculty member Jungwon Jin, and a new piece, Pax Vobiscum (Peace Be with You), by Brian Kehlenbach.
