Description:
This advanced course fully prepares students for a wide range of professional jobs in the floral industry. Business-specific terms that pertain to floral merchandising and purchasing operations will be covered, as well as other accounting concepts that pertain to the business. Students who complete this workshop will acquire an understanding of color scheme, principals of design, arrangements and composition. Discussions include industry standard techniques and best practices on how to thrive in today’s fast-paced and rapidly changing floral market. Students will need to bring a pair of pruning shears to class. This class is a pre-requisite to the shop management courses. A material fee of $300 is payable to the instructor who will provide each registered student all floral designing supplies. Students will receive a certificate of completion only after 62 hours of instruction that include Introduction to Floral Design, Intermediate Floral Design, Advance Floral Design and Shop Management.
