ADVANCED PLACEMENT/LVN-RN Entry NEWS:

The SAC Nursing Program is accepting applications for advance placement to 2nd and 4th semester only. See the Advanced Placement/LVN-RN Entry Information page for directions.

The 3rd semester entry list is over 100 and, therefore, we are currently not accepting any applications to 3rd semester unless the prospective student works at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. We will begin accepting applications to 3rd semester when the entry list decreases below 25 names.

Letters of "Continued Interest" will be emailed in May to every prospective student on the entry lists. If a student does not respond to the letter by the stated deadline, the student's name will be removed from the entry list.

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement

Due to the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 vaccine mandates have been implemented in many institutions including clinical sites that our nursing students need to attend in order to fulfill the nursing program educational requirements. Due to these current events, please be aware that the majority of the clinical sites are requiring the COVID-19 vaccine in order to be able to go into their site and participate in clinicals. Few clinical sites are permitting religious and/or medical exemptions. Please have in mind that you might be required to be fully vaccinated in order to participate and fulfill the educational requirements unless there is an exemption option for such clinical site. If an assigned clinical facility that accepts exemptions is not available during the student's assigned rotation, the student who is not vaccinated may be at risk for not meeting the course objectives or clinical hours. In this situation, the student would need to step out of the program.
