What Does the Legislative Branch Do?
The Legislative Branch, also known as the ASG Senate, represents student voices by making laws that guide the Associated Student Government. The Senate passes policies, approves student budgets and expenditures, confirms presidential appointments, and adopts resolutions. Senators also work with academic Deans and Department Chairs to plan events that highlight academic programs and connect students with resources that support their educational goals.
Why join the Legislative Branch?
Build leadership and advocacy skills, gain hands-on experience with decision-making and budgeting, collaborate with academic leaders, strengthen your resume, and help shape policies that impact students campus-wide.
