The Associate of Arts Degree in Communication Studies is a diverse program that can suit students needs in various ways.  The field of communication studies offers a wide variety of career and job choices for those students seeking their first career or looking to switch fields.  On the other hand, if career advancement is the goal, students choosing to obtain this degree will develop the necessary and practical skills that can be immediately applied to increase their promotional potential in their current occupation.  The associate degree also prepares students for transfer to four-year universities.  The curriculum in the Department of Communication Studies is designed for articulation with baccalaureate degrees emphasizing: Argumentation and Persuasion, Interpersonal, Organizational, and Intercultural Communication.  The program offers two degree options; consult with  a counselor to see which option is best for you!
