2023 Commencement
If you received an email on 04/21/2023 from Vice President Dr. Hubbard with your personal invitation to join the 2023 SAC Commencement, that email is confirmation that you are an eligible graduate of the Class of 2023 with either an Associate Degree and/or a Certificate of Achievement.
You do NOT need to follow up with the graduation office for further confirmation.

PETITION FOR GRADUATION
Due to current circumstances, petitions for graduation should be submitted electronically to
grad_office@sac.edu Please contact counseling for assistance in filling out the petitions.
Commencement exercises are held once a year at the end of the spring semester for those students who complete the requirements for graduation during the year or the summer session.
The deadlines for filing petitions for the 2022-2023 academic year are:
Spring 2023
AST/AAT – February 17, 2023
All other degrees and certificates – March 10, 2023

2023 SAC Commencement
The 2023 SAC Commencement Ceremony will take place at Angel Stadium on 06/02.
All additional information regarding Commencement will be posted on the SAC Commencement Website mid-April. Invitations to eligible students will be sent out by email later in April.
Tickets for Commencement will be available during Grad Fest in May at the Bookstore. Details on Grad Fest will also be published on the website in late April.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Unit Requirements: Students must complete at least 60 degree units with a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Courses designated with the letter "N" preceding the course number are not degree applicable courses.
Residency requirements: A minimum of 12 units must be taken at Santa Ana College. At least six of these units must be in courses required for the major.
Major requirements: Each degree and certificate program specifies courses required for the major (please see college catalog). Students must complete these courses with a grade of C or better.
Note: Transcripts from all colleges attended must be on file in the Admissions Office.
