What is Proctorio?

Proctorio is ​software that takes the place of a human proctor for exams or an automated proctorless software. The software provides identification validation and activity monitoring during an online exam. For more information, view the What is Proctorio website.

Getting Started

1. You need to have a webcam and microphone (internal or external). Laptop cameras/microphones are fine to use.
2. If you don't have a webcam, you can:
• ​Borrow one from the Digital Don Laptop Loan Program.
• Use the Academic Computing Center (ACC)​ quiet room for test taking with Proctorio.
3. Install Google Chrome. Proctorio requires the use of Google Chrome. This is the only browser that will work with Proctorio to access your exams. Do NOT use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.
4. Install the Chrome Proctorio Extension in Chrome.​
