Santa Ana Coll​ege Valedictorian

The Valedictorian's primary role is to write and deliver an inspiring speech to the graduating class, College employees, and families at the commencement ceremony. Beyond the speech, the Valedictorian serves as a symbol of academic achievement, dedication, and perseverance, inspiring other students to strive for excellence.

Please see the following eligibility criteria and process for selection of the Santa Ana College Valedictorian. 

Eligibility Criteria for Valedictoria​n Pool 

  • Candidates are chosen from the current graduating class (summer, fall, and spring). The major determinant shall be the overall grade point average. 

  • Candidates must have a 4.0 GPA, excludes the spring semester's grades of that graduating year. 

  • Candidates have 30 units or more in the Rancho Santiago Community College District, of which a minimum of 18 units must be letter grades.

  • All RSCCD units and transfer units from other colleges will be counted. 

Valedictoria​n Selection Process

  • Eligible graduates receive an email invitation to apply.

  • Candidates are invited to participate in an interview.

  • Finalists are placed on a ballot for student voting.

  • T​he Valedictorian is selected by the Santa Ana College graduating class.​
