Experiential Learning
What is Experiential Learning? It is a way to gain hands-on experience while integrating concepts learned in the classroom. These experiences allow for students to explore career options and develop new skills while networking and having professional guidance.

Experiential Learning Opportunities Available:
Learning experience in which traditional classroom learning is applied through practical hands-on job experiences.
Use this INTERNSHIP READINESS CHECKLIST as you start to look for experiential learning opportunities.
Uses community service and volunteer activities to meet both classroom learning objectives and needs of the community. Students connect service volunteers activities with learning objectives, often as part of their academic program (major) or co-curricular program (such as U-Link).
Pairs students with experienced professionals who provide guidance in the workplace.
Santa Ana College partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County to offer WORKPLACE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM. This program starts in the fall semester and ends in the spring semester, with six sessions held virtually and in-person. Students are paired with professional mentors and interact in facilitated mentorship sessions.
