| How long is the bus pass good for? Bus passes are only valid during the activation period for as long as all eligibility criteria are met and funding is available to support the program. Activation dates will be provided when you apply for your bus pass.

| How soon can I ride the bus? The same day your student ID is encoded.

| What if I do not have an email address to register for the bus pass program? You must have a valid email address to receive notifications about your bus pass. If you do not have an email address you will have to create one. There are a number of free email account providers. For assistance, visit the SCE Student Welcome Center.

| What happens if I lose my student photo ID card and it was encoded as a bus pass? If you are using your student photo ID card to board OCTA buses and your card is lost or stolen, you will not be able to participate in the program for the remainder of the term. Once a photo ID has been encoded as a bus pass, students are not eligible to replace the lost/stolen ID until the following semester or after the bus pass has expired.

| What should I do if I experience technical issues with my encoded bus pass? If you experience technical issues contact the office that issued your bus pass. If our office is unable to resolve your issue immediately you will be required to purchase a bus ticket to use the bus while the issue is being resolved.
