2024 Commencement Frequently Asked Questions
Commencement is a time to honor our students' hard work and dedication. Graduates have overcome challenges and embraced growth, and now it's time to applaud their accomplishments. Witness the culmination of their academic journey, surrounded by a supportive community and inspirational speakers.
Here is a list of commonly asked questions about the Santa Ana College Commencement. We will continue to update this page, so check back for details.
Where will the Commencement be held? Eddie West Field. 602 N Flower St. Santa Ana, CA 92703.

What is the date and time for the Commencement? Thursday, June 6th, at 5:00 PM.

Do I need to RSVP?Yes, graduates must submit a Graduation Registration Form. If you submit the form and are eligible to graduate, you can participate in the commencement ceremony. To RSVP, or if you have any questions about your eligibility, contact the SCE Graduation Office at scegraduation@sac.edu.

Does a graduating student need a ticket? No, graduating students do not need a ticket. Graduates just need to RSVP online and wear a cap and gown on the day of the ceremony.

When should I arrive? Plan to arrive at least 60-90 minutes early. This will allow enough time to line up with your department and/or friends. Gates will open at 3:30 pm. Graduates will line up at 4:00 pm. Late arrivals may not be able to participate in the ceremony.

Where do I park? Use the parking structure next to the stadium off of W 6th St. and Boyd Way. Parking in the structure costs $10, cash only.

Is there somewhere I can drop off a person with a handicap? Yes, there is a handicap drop-off point off of W 6th St.

Can I wear heels? No, you will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony if you wear heels. However, wedges are okay.

Santa Ana College reserves the right to use photography and video images of graduates and visitors, age 18 and older. Professional Photography will be photographing and video recording the Commencement event during and after the ceremony for college outreach and marketing purposes. Objection to the use of an individual’s photograph may be made in writing to the Public Information Office at SAC.
