Overview​​
​In this course, you will learn about fundamental operations on lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, including precision measurements and layout. In addition, you will learn the skills and theory necessary to enter or upgrade within the machinist trade.

Students may be awarded 10 high school elective credits if they complete and pass all course assignments and requirements.
Course Requi​​rements​
Students must pass the following TWO courses:
VMFG 680: Basic Machining Concepts and Operations
HSMTH 190: Math for College and Career Readiness
You must first meet with a counselor before enrolling in HSMTH 190.

Students must pass ONE of the following courses:
VBUS 400: Employability Skills
ESL 520: ESL: English for Work 2
