Santa Ana, CA — The Santa Ana College Foundation proudly announces Donnie Crevier and the Crevier Family Foundation as its 2026 Scholarship Honoree of the Year, the Foundation’s highest recognition honoring a donor whose generosity and vision have created transformational change for students.

This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Santa Ana College community through scholarship support that expands access, promotes equity, and fuels student success. For the past five years, Donnie and the Crevier family have done exactly that through the Crevier Scholars Fund, a portfolio of scholarships designed to support high school graduates, transfer-bound students, and those pursuing career and technical education.  For the Crevier family, supporting students has always been deeply personal.

“My grandfather’s passion for helping others runs deeply. I’ve seen how much he cares about students and the role education plays in their lives,” said Cameron Jalbert, Donnie’s grandson. “Being part of the Crevier Scholars Fund is something our family takes great pride in, and it’s inspiring to see the impact his commitment continues to have.”

That pride is reflected in the results Crevier Scholars are achieving. Launched in 2021, the Crevier Scholars Fund has awarded $50,000 to 35 students, resulting in extraordinary outcomes. The fund supports students across key education pathways, including High School Inc. graduates entering Santa Ana College, transfer-bound students, and those completing Career Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Those investments are paying off. 100% of Crevier Transfer Scholars have successfully transferred to four-year universities, exceeding the national community college transfer rate of 33%. Crevier Scholars have gone on to institutions including UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Vanguard University, and Cal State Fullerton.

“What makes Donnie’s philanthropy so meaningful is that it reflects the real journeys of community college students,” said Christina Romero, Executive Director of the Santa Ana College Foundation. “Through the Crevier Scholars Fund, he has built a portfolio of scholarships that supports students at different stages of their academic journeys. That breadth of support is why his impact reaches so many students and delivers such strong outcomes.”

Beyond scholarship support, Donnie’s investment in Santa Ana College has always gone deeper than financial giving. His long-standing dedication includes mentoring students and helping shape them into confident, business-savvy leaders. That impact is evident in alumni such as Ramiro Ochoa, a Santa Ana College alumnus and former Crevier Scholar, who now serves as a Santa Ana College Foundation Board Member. Ramiro’s journey reflects the enduring ripple effect of mentorship and opportunity, and the way Donnie’s support continues to foster future leaders.

Donnie’s commitment reflects a belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for creating opportunities and strengthening communities. That impact is felt directly by the students that the Crevier Scholars Fund was created to support.

One Crevier Scholar shared:
“My name is Beverly Garcia, and I’m a Criminal Justice major at Santa Ana College. Being selected for the Crevier Family Scholarship has helped ease the stress of transferring and reminded me that I’m not doing this alone. I’m incredibly grateful for the Crevier Family and donors like Donnie Crevier who believed in me and invested in my future.”

Donnie Crevier will be formally honored at the Santa Ana College Scholarship Award Celebration on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., hosted at Phillips Hall on the Santa Ana College campus. The annual celebration brings together hundreds of students, donors, and campus leaders to recognize student achievement and philanthropy. A commemorative video highlighting Donnie’s impact and the scholars he supports will premiere at the event.

Through his generosity, mentorship, and advocacy for education, Donnie Crevier has established more than a scholarship. He has built a pathway to opportunity that continues to change lives across Santa Ana College and beyond.
