(Santa Ana, CA) - Santa Ana College (SAC) has named Simon Barton Hoffman, Ed.D. as its new vice president of Administrative Services.
Dr. Hoffman will serve as SAC’s business manager, effectively conducting the business affairs for the college. He will be responsible for budget development and control, facility maintenance, auxiliary services, transportation and the preparation and maintenance of required records and reports. He will additionally be responsible for assigned personnel and serve as the campus liaison to the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) business operations and the fiscal services division.
A SAC staff member for 19 years, Hoffman has been the Interim Vice President of Administrative Services since 2018. Previously, Hoffman spent eight years as SAC’s Dean of Human Services and Technology where he supported 126 employees, provided administrative support of the college’s Occupational Studies Bachelor’s Degree Program, which launched in fall 2017, led the revitalization of SAC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality pathway programs and assisted faculty with third-party reaccreditation of the Fire and Criminal Justice academies, and Automotive, Pharmacy and Occupational Therapy Assistant Programs. For the decade prior, he was SAC’s Dean of Career Education and Workforce Development.

Hoffman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach, a master of business administration from the University of Phoenix, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Community College Leadership specialization from California State University, Fullerton. He is a member of the Association of California Community College Administrators, International Facilities Management Association, Business Officers of Southern California Community Colleges, and serves on multiple SAC committees and task forces, and holds a class B general contractor and real estate salesperson license.
