(Santa Ana) - Santa Ana College’s Fine and Performing Arts Department presents “An Orchestral Celebration” on Saturday, March 2 at 7:30pm in Phillips Hall. The Music Department of Santa Ana College (SAC) will be presenting a collaborative concert along with Santiago Canyon College (SCC) and the musicians of Symphony Irvine. Binh Vu, Professor of Music at SCC, will conduct the orchestra in their performance of Symphony No. 5 by Tchaikovsky as well as the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Franz Liszt, performed by Dr. Jungwon Jin, Professor of Music at SAC. The program will also present the premiere performance of the symphonic song, “A Noiseless Patient Spider” by Dr. Brian Kehlenbach as well as selections from Handel’s Messiah featuring the SAC and SCC choirs.
