Classified Awards For Excellence

The Santa Ana College Awards for Excellence selection committee works as a team to automate and simplify the award selection process while maintaining fairness and confidentiality for all classified nominees. In addition, the committee collaborates with faculty leadership to provide a joint Faculty and Classified Awards for Excellence Ceremony near the end of the spring semester (usually in the month of May).

Classified Staff of the Year

The Classified Employee of the Year Award is granted to one exceptional permanent, full-time employee that exhibits dedication, exemplary skills and traits, and a commitment to excellent work performance over their tenure.

2026 Winner - Cristina Miranda

HOTT (Half of the Time) Award

The H.O.T.T. Award recognizes the “half-of-the-time” employee for outstanding efforts and contributions on a part-time basis.

2026 Winner - CatCat Hua

Classified Professional Achievement Award

The Classified Professional Achievement Award is given to an employee for demonstrating outstanding job performance and professional growth through education, positive impact and creativity, or experience and dedication leading to promotion.

Bill Brush Colleague Appreciation Award

The Bill Brush Colleague Appreciation Award recognizes an individual who is nearly indispensable and who demonstrates sensitivity, dedication, resourcefulness, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
