Julius Caesar
Shakespeare’s classic political thriller tells the story of those who conspired against Julius Caesar, their battle for power, and their eventual fall. As Civil war erupts, a new power and leader must arise in Rome; but at what cost? Julius Caesar captures themes of friendship, loyalty, ambition, power, and the consequences of leaving open a power vacuum in an already volatile and chaotic society.
Preparation Requirements:
- Prepare a comedic or dark comedic monologue (1:00-2:00 minute). The monologue should be memorized and demonstrate a clear character/personality. Be prepared to read from the sides (pages from the script).

Rehearsal Schedule: Monday- Thursday 6pm-10pm beginning Monday 3/16

Audition Etiquette:
- Punctuality: Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time.
- Preparation: Be ready with your monologue and song memorized, and vocally prepared.
- Professionalism: Treat everyone with respect. Be polite and considerate to fellow actors and the audition panel.
- Attire: Wear professional attire for audition and bring or wear appropriate attire for movement.
- Materials: Bring an updated headshot and resume to the audition, if available.
Final Notes:
- If cast DC in Our Lady of 121st Street, you will be required to register in THEA 150A, section 74433
- If cast in Julius Caesar, you will be required to register in THEA 151, section 74447
