Hello SAC Promise students. I am a counseling faculty member at a community college because I am an advocate for change. I believe that earning a higher education is a powerful tool to fight against injustice and oppression. It also provides the opportunity for upward mobility and it can transform the quality of life for generations to come. Community college transformed my life and shaped me into a strong critical thinker, self-advocate, and agent of change. My educational background started at a Community College right after arriving to the United States and then transferred to CSULB where I obtained my Bachelor's degree.
