Our Purpose
Santa Ana College is committed to your success! The Santa Ana College (SAC) Promise, an initiative of the Santa Ana Partnership, is dedicated to supporting first-time freshmen students in achieving their academic and career goals. The program provides free tuition during the 1st-year & 2nd-year of college and connects students to resources that help them successfully complete a certificate, associate degree, and/or transfer to a four-year university.
Starting Fall 2025, all incoming SAC Promise students will also be eligible for guaranteed admission to California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), regardless of their high school district of graduation. Click here to view our partnership contract.

Program Requirements
First-time freshman attending Santa Ana College directly after graduating from a California High School or Adult School (H.S. Diploma, HiSet or GED) and eligible for in state tuition. Click here for more information regarding in state tuition and residency guidelines.
Attend a SAC Promise Orientation. Join our interest list to receive updates on upcoming orientations.
Maintain enrollment in a minimum of 12 units for both Fall and Spring semesters.
*If receiving DSPS services and enrolled in less than full-time, please contact the SAC Promise staff*
Submitted FAFSA or California Dream Act application
Meet with a counselor for a comprehensive education plan (4 semesters planned in advance)
Enroll in a Counseling 100 Course or equivalent (staff will approve equivalency during orientation)
To remain eligible for 2nd-year SAC Promise Benefits, students must complete at least 12 units in both Fall and Spring, apply for Financial Aid, maintain full-time enrollment, and participate in at least one University Transfer Activity.
