Are you planning on going home for a holiday? The DSO needs to validate your status with a travel signature on page three of your current I-20 if you are traveling outside the USA anytime and plan to return. Please bring your current I-20 to the International Student Center at least two weeks in advance of your trip so that it can be signed by your DSO.
You MUST have you I-20 signed BEFORE leaving the United States for vacation or any short holidays. Failure to do so may result in being denied readmission to the United States. Also, ensure your visa is valid for re-entry, or you will be required to re-apply for a new one.
It is your responsibility to check the expiration date of your I-20, Visa, and Passport prior to international travel. You are required to report to the International Student Center within 10 days of re-entry to the US. Failure to comply may result in automatic termination of student status.
