Traveling Outside the USA?
Are you planning on going home for a holiday? The DSO/PDSO needs to validate your status on page three of your current SEVIS I-20 if you are traveling outside the USA anytime and want to return.
You MUST have you SEVIS I-20 signed BEFORE leaving the United States for vacation or any short holidays. Failure to do so may result in being denied readmission to the United States.
It is the YOUR responsibility to check the expiration date of their SEVIS I-20, Visa, and Passport. You are required to report to the International Student Center within 3 days of re-entry to the US. Failure to comply may result in automatic termination of student status.
Traveling outside the USA also includes Canada and Mexico. Bring your current I-20 to the International Student Center at least two weeks in advance of your trip so that it can be signed by your DSO/PDSO.
Extending Your I-20 Before It Expires
This is an important notification to remind you that your I-20 is coming close to the expiration date.
If you are enrolled in the Summer 2018 or planning to enroll in the FALL 2018 semester, please report to the International Student Office ASAP. You will need to extend your I-20 before it expires and obtain the new I-20 form. If you applied or was approved a change of status, please bring all immigration documents, green card, etc.., to the International Student Office so that can properly notate your Sevis I-20 record.
Please feel free to contact any of the DSO’s or International Student Specialist. Thank you. We look forward to seeing you.

New Student Pay per Print System Update@ SAC
New Student printing is changing. Please use up your old print cards. We have had some feedback and are trying to keep a few old copiers and printers in place until the end of September, however it's highly recommended that students move to the new system as far as possible as it is very modern and more secure and we will be offering many tools such as web printing with it once it settles in.
What’s Happening
The student pay per print system needs to be replaced with a new up-to-date one. DATE FOR LAST USE OF OLD SYSTEM HAS BEEN MOVED IN RESPONSE TO FEEDBACK TO END OF SEPTEMBER.
Why is it happening
There have been many issues with the current student printing. The major ones are unreliable equipment and slow service turnaround. ITS has had many complaints and spent a lot of time and effort trying to get improvements, however, the system is obsolete and must be replaced.
When is it happening
Phase 1 was June 19-23 2017- installations are almost complete. We have had some small setbacks and are working through them. Phase 2 of final set up and cut over should be soon.
What is the impact
- The impact will be to improve the situation tremendously and allow for growth of services to students in the future.
- Students can use their Web Advisor login or new free ID cards for printing
- Better printers and more reliable printing with good support from vendors.
- Secure printing – students will only see their own print jobs.
- Simple administrator screens.
- Old cards must be used up as they will not work with the new up-to-date system. As they belong to the vendor SAC cannot offer any refund.
- More services as we go on in time.
- The costs of printing will be 8 cents per black and white page and 50 cents for a color page. Scanning to file will be 20 cents per page.
