​The University Transfer Center at Santa Ana College created the Transfer Mentor Program to promote peer collaboration and learning among Santa Ana College transfer students. The program aims to facilitate navigation of the transfer process and promote the retention of transfer students at universities. Other benefits include peer support, personal growth, networking, and developing interpersonal skills an attractive resume.​

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: 

MENTEE SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Current SAC student eligible to transfer in the following Fall semester 

• Planning to transfer to a 4-year university 

• Minimum 2.7 transferable G.P.A.

• AB540 students are welcome to apply
  

• Have an updated Ed​ucational Plan​
  

MENTOR SELECTION CRITERIA: 

• Former SAC student (Alumni) preferred

• Current undergraduate/graduate student with at least 12 units completed OR undergraduate/graduate alumni 

• Minimum 2.7 GPA

• Demonstrate financial need 

• Satisfactory recommendations 

• AB540 students are welcome to apply

• Knowledge of university organizations, resources, and campus life

• Familiar with resume building, university requirements, scholarships applications, and financial aid process.​
