Mask and Safety
Santa Ana College is implementing measures to foster a safe learning environment for everyone on campus. As we begin in-person classes this fall semester, face coverings will be required by all visitors, students, and employees while indoors regardless of vaccination status.
We are also asking students to be aware of the district's COVID Prevention Protocol (see below):
The Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is present in our region and is being transmitted via community and person- to-person spread. Rancho Santiago Community College District is taking precautionary measures in accordance with public health officials in an effort to protect the health and safety of our students and employees. It is imperative that each of us does our part and takes individual responsibility to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 by complying with state and local directives.
Prior to arriving on campus, all students need to conduct a COVID-19 self-symptom check. I will stay home and contact my instructor if I have any of these symptoms:
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fever – Greater than 4 degrees
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- Loss of taste or smell
EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING IN ALL INDOOR LOCATIONS WHILE ON DISTRICT PROPERTY. I understand I will not be allowed inside buildings if I am not wearing a mask.
- Wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer before the start of class and frequently throughout the day.
- If you start to feel feverish or have respiratory symptoms while at school, notify your instructor and go home.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 during the semester, notify your instructor.
