Business Admin AS-T Degree (Transfer to CSU)
The Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer (AS-T) prepares students to move into a curriculum at a four-year institution leading to a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration. Please consult a counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Completion of the AS-T degree also provides guaranteed admission with junior status to the CSU system although does not guarantee acceptance to a particular campus. Upon completion of the AS-T degree in Business Administration, students will have a general understanding of business fundamentals, including the areas of accounting, economics, and computer information systems. In addition, they will have an understanding of the legal environment of business, and will have a sufficient understanding of mathematical concepts to enable them to successfully pursue a business degree at a four-year institution.
The AS-T degree in Business Administration is appropriate for students whose vocational plans include careers in business fields such as accounting, computer information systems, finance, management, marketing, or other business fields.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
create clear, concise, well-organized written business documents such as memos, reports, and executive summaries including financial information that can be used in an effective manner to communicate.
possess adequate technical knowledge to create financial information to be used in the accounting and related business environment.
transfer to a California State University as a business administration major.
