Kindercaminata 2021

Welcome

KinderCaminata History

The first KinderCaminata was held on March 31, 1994 and attracted 2,000 students from Santa Ana Unified School District. It is estimated that over 40,000 students have participated in KinderCaminata at SAC since 1994. KinderCaminata is designed to inspire young children to one day achieve a college education and expose them to possible careers. KinderCaminata is held near the birth date (March 31st) of Cesar Chavez, the renowned United Farm Workers leader, as kindergarteners embrace Chavez's motto "Si se puede!" and the seeds of a college education are planted early.
