      ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Train to become​ a Caregiver or Personal Aide! ​​​

      Certified caregiver helping elderly man after finishing personal aide program at Santa Ana College, near Anaheim and Irvine.​

      ​​Overview
      ​​This program prepares you to help the elderly, sick, or persons with disabilities. Caregivers help with daily life at the person's home or care facility. You will train in a simulated caregiving environment. Gain experience performing caregiver duties. This includes nutrition, cleanliness, movement, and household activities.​​​


      Certificate Requirements
      ​​Students must pass BOTH of the following courses:
      VHLTH109​ - Introduction to Caregiving
      VHLTH​110 - Caregiver Training
      Must complete Introduction to Caregiving (VHLTH109) to register.

      Students must pass ONE of the following courses:
      VBUS400 - Employability Skills
      ESL520 - English for Work 2



      ​Participation Requirements​​
      • You must be 18 or older and living in California to register for this class. ​​
