In this course, you will learn about the fundamental operations of OCTA buses, how to do a pre-trip inspection, safety procedures, behind-the-wheel training, commercial permit preparation, and application guidance with OCTA. Students will also learn study skills to better prepare them for the Commercial Learner's Permit test and customer service skills which are essential in the field. Become an important part of what keeps Orange County moving as you help others reach their destinations safely. Note: Students are not obligated to pursue employment with OCTA upon completion of the program. Starting pay: $21.51 Drivers may also earn a $3,000 hiring bonus

Students must pass the following TWO courses:
- VBUS 340: Career Exploration (Bus Operator/Driver Program Orientation)
- VAUTO 674: Bus Operator/Driver Training

Participants must:
- Be 18 or older
- Have a valid CA Driver's License
