In May 2026, Continuing Education’s own Dr. Adrianna Gonzalez was recognized as one of Congressman Lou Correa’s women of the year! Every year, Congressman Correa recognizes women who have an outstanding impact on the community. The ceremony recognizes the "mothers and all maternal figures" in the 46th Congressional District and their contributions and achievements.
Dr. Gonzalez is the department chair for both the Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency programs at Continuing Education. She has been promoting education to the Santa Ana community for more than 20 years!
Reflecting on the award and experience, Dr. Gonzalez said, “I was humbled and blessed to have been a recipient of Congressman Lou Correa's Women of the Year Award. I received this recognition for doing something that I love to do and was truly born to do—teaching and helping our students and community receive much needed literacy, leadership, and HiSET/GED skills. Together, we are lifting families one student at a time.”
We are so grateful for her constant hard work at our school. A huge congratulations to Dr. Gonzalez and a thank you to Congressman Correa and everyone who made this award possible!
