
This training program prepares students to transition to Santa Ana College's Digital
Media Program or start an entry-level job in the digital media field. Students will
learn industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Cloud. They will also learn foundational
skills for graphic designers, artists, photographers, web designers, programmers,
and animation artists.
Students also learn soft skills needed for digital media jobs. After finishing this
certificate, students are encouraged to continue their training at Santa Ana College's
Digital Media Program to obtain a more advanced certificate and/or degree.
Students must pass all of the following courses:
- VDMA 302: Web Design
- VDMA 310: Introduction to Digital Media Arts
Students must also pass one of the following courses:
- VBUS 400: Employability Skills
- VBUS 303: Adobe Photoshop
- ESL 520: English for Work 2
Participants must also:
- Be at least 18 years old on the first day of class.
If you pass VDMA 302 and 310 with a grade of B or higher, you can earn credit for
DM 164 Web Design and DM 195 Introduction to Digital Media Arts through the credit-by-exam
process. Credits from VDMA 302 and 310 can count towards a digital media certificate
or degree at Santa Ana College.
There is no tuition cost for VDMA 302 and 310.
