The exhibit is co-curated by SAC Art Gallery Director and SAC Art Department Chair Phil Marquez and art historian and full-time faculty member Ed Fosmire.
“The idea for ‘Global Perspectives’ really grew out of the desire to showcase artists who reflect in a unique way these selected cultures,” said Fosmire. “The exhibition will not only be available for the public, but it will also be incorporated as an element in my spring 2017 Asian art history Class.”
“Working with Ed on this exhibit has been a labor of love and we have accumulated a variety of artists that show different parts of the world,” said Marquez. “With this final art department showcase, we wanted to display a slice of reality from each region.”
This exhibit will conclude a year-long series presented by the SAC Art Department that has featured a series of exhibits within the Santora Building that have highlighted each program within the department.
