Commencement Day Brings Celebrations and Connections
Join Santa Ana College faculty, staff, alumni, students and friends for a very special afternoon on June 1. That's the date for this year's Commencement day, which will also feature two other important opportunities for you to experience what SAC is all about. Those two opportunities are the annual Alumni Hall of Fame Awards presentations and the new SAC Alumni Association with a tent for registration and networking.
The Alumni Hall of Fame honors SAC alums who have achieved special distinction in their personal and professional lives since graduating from the college. This year's honorees are Dr. Jeff Armstrong, a marine biologist; Ken Ulrich, a highly successful construction engineer and business owner; Dennis Farrell, commissioner of the NCAA Big West Conference; and Rolf Engen, a world-class athlete and entrepreneur. The awards ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Phillips Hall. Please attend and help us honor these special SAC alumni. RSVP by calling 714-564-6091 or by emailing
foundation@sac.edu.
This spring saw the announcement of a significant new addition to the programs available for SAC alumni with the creation of the college's new Alumni Association. The association is designed to provide a community for alumni to connect with each other and the college. Visit the association's table at Commencement where alums can gather to learn about the association's benefits, register as a member, and meet other alums attending the festivities.
And certainly don't forget the Commencement ceremony itself. Make sure to attend and celebrate this milestone in the lives of our graduates as they embark on their path to success. Commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. with gates open at 5:00 p.m. at Eddie West Field in Santa Ana.
