How do we navigate spaces where our full selves aren’t always seen or understood? Dual Realities is an interactive workshop that explores the practice of code switching—the conscious and unconscious ways individuals shift language, tone, behavior, and expression to adapt to different cultural contexts. Centering the experiences of Black, African American, and APIDA communities, this session unpacks the impact of code switching, how it shows up in school, workplace and social environments, and how we can develop strategies to lead confidently.
Whether you've felt the pressure to “tone it down,” “act right,” or “fit in,” this space offers connection, validation, and deeper understanding of how we carry—and sometimes conceal—our voices.
